Welcome your cats...

We have 20 comfortable, modern and spacious double chalets; configured to accommodate single, double and three+ family cats, with options to inter-connect if more space is required.

We are fully licensed by Angus Council to board up to 40 cats at any one time and have fully comprehensive insurance through PetPlan .

At Cats at Heart we cater not only for holidays, but work commitments, illness, relocation, and moving home. We also provide a safe haven when a dog comes to visit for the weekend, or a refuge on fireworks night.

Each of the chalets is secure and has its own sleeping and large play area. Special diets are catered for and we provide beds, blankets, toys – or the cat may bring its own. We cater for short and long term boarding and offer fully flexible packages.

We use only top quality products – The World’s Best Cat Litter and Applaws cat food, which is a totally natural product with no additives or preservatives and now retail both products through the cattery.

We have an isolation unit in the event of illness or accident and in addition to full PetPlan insurance cover, we are supported by the Robson Veterinary Hospital in Laurencekirk.

We offer daily grooming whilst the cat is with us, but for those who want more, we have a full scale grooming facility on the premises offering clipping, de-matting, brushing, nail clipping, ear cleaning and dry bathing all performed by fully trained staff.

The cattery is fully double glazed with large picture windows, oil fired central heating and a mobile air conditioning unit for those hot days. The cats also “Wake up to Wogan” in the morning and enjoy Radio 2 throughout the day via speakers located throughout the cattery.

Cats at Heart is a unique and innovative facility. All materials used in the construction were specially sourced and have been used to maximise the quality and cleanliness required by animal welfare organisations. We have created a “home from home” for your cat. We provide incorporated inter-connecting, lockable, cat flaps between the chalets to permit double and triple modules to be created as required. If a family of five cats come to board, they can have three inter-connecting chalets, so that they are not separated. Most other catteries would have to split the family into a three and a two group which is not conducive to a stress-free stay.

We pride ourselves on our customer service. The cattery is available for inspection at any time and we welcome visitors, taking great satisfaction from their reaction to the facility, especially if they have been visiting several other catteries to make comparisons.

All our full-time staff are fully trained in the administration of medicines and insulin by injection. We believe that it is vital that you feel confident in leaving your diabetic or long-term medicated cat with us and that their routine is not disrupted in any way.

Great care is taken to ensure that both you and your pets are at ease in the cattery and the separation process is managed in such a way as to limit any stress.
