Over the last 4 years I have been taking my pet to the Cats at Heart Cattery owned by Sheila Douglas. 

The cattery itself is a very welcoming place and I am constantly amazed and thrilled when I attend.  I am particularly delighted that there is non stop music being played in the building, thus giving a very homely ambiance.  The cattery is completely enclosed, heated in the winter and air conditioned in the summer!  It is always clean and NEVER smells.  I have used catteries in the past and this is not the norm!  Sheila has paid particular attention to security of the premises and I always feel confident that my pet is very safe.  Her links with the local Vet eliminates any concerns about animal illness and adds that extra confidence that all will be well while owners are away.

From the beginning it was essential that the cattery I used was able to accommodate and care for my cat – Treacle - who during each stay at the cattery, would require daily injections as she was Type 1 Diabetic.  From the onset, not only did Sheila recognise that my cat needed that extra care, she also acknowledged that I myself would need respite from worry, having left my much loved pet in someone else’s care while away on holiday.  Sheila has always diligently cared for my pet, having administered her insulin injections daily until they were stopped; leaving me feeling fully confident that Treacle was in the best of hands.  

Sheila has always treated me as a very valued client and is friendly and helpful and takes time to chat.  She takes on board any change of diet instructions which have occurred, and will go that extra mile to prepare and provide anything in particular that is required.  I have constantly ‘sung her praise’ to friends who are cat lovers and remark about the cattery being a ‘5 Star Hotel’ for Felines’!
